You Got The Look

As you read this blog, you’ll find several good tips to having a potential lasting modeling career. You must keep your appearance fresh and unique. If you are critiqued to improve anything, begin working on it.

Stay proportioned and fit – Exercise, eat properly, and drink plenty of water. If you retain a personal trainer, you still must know your body limits and its weight fluctuations. Be as healthy as you can be. Even if you are happy with your body, it doesn’t hurt to stay toned.

Keep your skin soft – Moisturize your skin on a daily basis. Exfoliating twice a week would help to keep your skin soft.

Do not wear make up everyday – Wear foundation if you are walking the runway or on a photo shoot. Foundation is not good for your skin on a daily basis. You want healthy, clear, and beautiful skin. Understanding sometimes, you may have a pimple, under-eye circles or toning issues with your skin, wear very light make up as a cover up.

Be natural – Keep lip-gloss, mascara, and I would add clear nail polish with you at all times. This is a quick fixer upper if you must meet potential clients or go to an audition at the last minute, where you can refresh your look. Do not bite your nails and keep them polished. Stay on top of your feet looking impeccable too. Be sure to maintain manicures and pedicures, even if you do them yourself.

Be fashionable – Your style should compliment your body type and skin color. Do not overwhelm your outfit with jewelry pieces. Showing off a lot of cleavage is not highly recommended. Carry yourself with confidence and the whole collection will come together.

Walk with great posture – First impressions are everything, and if you have bad posture you will not get booked for many gigs. Walking on the runway entails superb posture. As you walk, keep your chin up, shoulders back, and glide as if you just signed a ten million dollar contract. Practice great posture everyday, when you walk down the sidewalk, through a shopping mall, or down the isles at the grocery store, practice makes perfect.

KEEP IN MIND:
Trying to keep up with the fashion industry can be very harmful, meaning trying to stay thin resulting in becoming Anorexic or Bulimic, having plastic surgeries of any kind from minor cosmetic surgeries to major changes to your body, and sometimes being a diva will create enemies.

It is just best to be yourself. Remember to stay unique and keep your personality and kind heart, there is more than just being beautiful.
